2012 is already off and racing! This week was filled with many things…new designs sketched, scheduling appointments with clients, transitions, working on website changes, making plans for my upcoming trip to NYC,

catching an icky bug that decided to share itself with me 🙁 , phone calls to work on KEYS projects, interviews, sorting through scraps of fabric,

delivering At Last Collection gowns to the boutique for the PINK bridal show,

Chattanooga Bridal Show

starting a textiles course and did I mention my school work?! It’s all in a weeks work! 🙂 So much happening and I can’t wait to share it all with you!

Whewwww! And now this restful evening to catch my breath. What I’ve learned this week:

1. When you catch a “bug” the best thing to do is to get A LOT of rest…don’t push yourself too hard if you know your getting sick. The consequences are awful! (I know from experience!)

2. Creativity energizes the soul.

3. Find something your passionate about, then work to make it happen!

4. The three large groups in the textile industry: Apparel, Interior Fashions, and Industrial. 😛

5.The most rewarding thing about working, is knowing that you are being a KEY into a door of opportunities for someone else.

6. Surround yourself with people who want to work together to make a difference for others.

7. Show gratitude to those who provide unexpected oppourtunies that set you on a path to completely follow your dreams.

8. Sometimes the smallest things can be used to make a big impact.

9. Learn to laugh at yourself when you do something silly. (I’m living proof)

10. Faith, Family & Friends 🙂

So, that pretty much sums up my week and what I learned. I can’t wait to share each of these things in detail with you as the weeks go by.

My shout-outs this week are:

1. My B Period English Class which includes; Ms.Killebrew, Ellie, Jenny L, Mia, Abbey A, Kara, Meg O, Caroline L, Kobi & Chloe. Love you tons! <3

2. Emilsonralimo…enough said 🙂
