The WOW Factor!

Posted on December 8th, 2010 in Behind The Designer

Wow! I can hardly believe that 2010 is almost over! For me it has been an amazing year. I’ve taken time this holiday season, to reflect back over the happenings in my life and I have much to be thankful for!!! After visiting NYC for the 2010 Bridal Fashion Week, everything became so real!

At the show!

Who would have known that I would be designing dresses and evening gowns? And, for me to have had the unbelievable opportunity to have one of my designs inspire someone else is beyond words! I can’t help it with all the exclamation points!! That is just the best way to emphasize how this experience has been!!

When Atlanta based Bridal Designer, Annette Thurmon of Chaviano Couture, contacted me about using one of my designs for her inspiration, I don’t know how to put into words what that felt like, except WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For her to involve me in the design process of the “Madison Alyse” gown was truly amazing. I learned so much. Seeing that gown on the 2010 Wedding Trendspot runway show is when I said to myself, “This is real!”

As I look to the New Year, I have a lot in store for Designs By Malyse. I will be launching my first collection in 2011, building the charitable giving/foundation element of my business and so much more. My business will focus on being the KEYS that will give back to others. This with allow others to have the opportunities to succeed at their dreams also.

I have been blessed and am so grateful. Awesome parents to start with, a cool sister, great friends & family and a talent that I plan to use to bless others.

I am so excited!!!! This is only the beginning. So, keep up with all the latest as I post my blogs. Your going to be amazed at what a 13 year old can do! Follow along as my dreams become realities. My hope is that it will inspire you to make your dreams come true also!

You are the best sister anyone could ever have. Your talent is something nobody could ever imagine or have. This is a life long dream for anyone and you are the perfect person to have this experience! I will love your designs not because you are my sister but, because your designs are beautiful. The designs that you have created are what the world has been craving for a long
time and now you are the person that has set it on our plate.

Your dresses are lovely. Are the ones you have on your website the only ones you have designed?
